Some keys to meditation are:
- You will need to be in a quiet area of your house, any place where you won't be interrupted. Once you are ready to begin
you can either sit crossed legged or with your feet on the floor. Whatever is perfect for you, just make sure your back is
straight.
- Then when you are comfortable and ready you may close your eyes or (soften your
gaze.) Then start being aware of your breath and how you are breathing, make sure you are breathing in and out of your nose
with deep full breathe.
- Slowly breathe in deep, filling up your stomach, then into your
rib cage then up your neck to the top of your head. Hold, and then slowly exhale through your nose all the way down through
your chest until you have released all of your air.
- Then repeat for a couple of
minutes until you are comfortable with your breathing, with out any thoughts coming into your mind.
- If you find that you are having thoughts running thought your head, it could be anything from laundry, to work that you
have at the office, or even situations that may have happened. Acknowledge the thought, thank it for showing up and then release
it to the universe, you can visualize it anyway that works for you. I like to see it floating away on a white feather, just
like on Forrest Gump, slowly blowing away in the breeze.
- While you are breathing you can
even picture what it feels like to be breathing in love and then breathing out peace. So every breath gives you the feeling
happiness and joy!
By just breathing like this you are doing your body some good, we need to be more aware of breathe.
It is so important to live and it feels so good when you are conscious of your breathe; you can then become more centered
and true to your self. Breathing can also help to energize you when you are feeling like you need a boost.
Ways to continue your Meditation:
- Connecting to the crystal core by seeing roots coming out of your feet and connecting to the centre of the earth, for healing
from mother earth. It also helps to stay grounded when you are having visual meditations.
- Sometimes we seem to see things, go places; the angels are showing us signs just like your dreams. You can use affirmations
to help heal yourself, or release vows that you may have taken and feel that they are holding you back.
- Chakra balancing can also be done during a meditation.
Meditation is a great way to start the
day we can fell more energized with happy and positive thoughts. You may then want to meditate before going to bed to release
all that you have done during the day. This will also help you get a more peaceful sleep, so you feel rested and refreshed
ready for the day.
